Unai Emery provides Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac Arsenal return update

Unai Emery declared Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac are “100%” ready to return for Arsenal on Saturday.

The two Gunners stars missed the Premier League opener at Newcastle because of “further security concerns”.

They were subject of an attempt car-jacking last month and are understood to have been again targetted by the criminal gang.

But Ozil and Kolasinac returned to training on Tuesday. And although the German missed training yesterday because of illness, both are in contention to face Burnley in the first home game on Saturday.

“They are 100% ready to play,” insisted the Gunners boss. “Their mentality is 100% focused on us.

"They have their minds here. I want to help them with normality with us, with the focus on training and each match. Of course I am pleased they are back. First as a person, after as a player.

“They came back training with us on Tuesday. We had off but they came to train with us. Mesut was a bit sick so he didn't train yesterday but he trained today.

"Each day gives us more information whether they will play Saturday. We will wait till tomorrow to decide if they play.

“When they are training and consistent every day, we can choose them and that is good for us.”
