Unai Emery overjoyed with Kieran Tierney as Arsenal boss predicts £25m star will make his side better

Unai Emery has spoken of his delight after Kieran Tierney 's instant impact on his Arsenal debut.

The £25m left-back started life at the Emirates like a runaway train in the 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest and is in contention to feature against Manchester United .

Arsenal were also boosted by the returns of Hector Bellerin and Rob Holding to bolster the Spaniard's options with a trip to Old Trafford looming large.

Tierney made his return to competitive action after a double hernia op in the summer and the Celtic hero impressed observers with his all-action display during his 77 minutes on the pitch.

And Emery is convinced the trio's return to the fold is great news as he hailed supporters for their warm reception.

The Arsenal boss said: "It’s amazing news.

"It was amazing to see the people’s reaction to Rob Holding, Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin, who played his first 15 minutes.

"It was a great moment. We can be a better competitive team with them. For us having every player available is the perfect moment.

"Now we have two injuries with Lacazette and Smith Rowe, and hopefully in a few weeks he can be training with the possibility to play. Really we are really happy with Hector, Rob and Kieran."
