Unai Emery on the advantage Tottenham have in the race for the top four

Arsenal travel to Leicester City tomorrow, hoping to get back to winning ways.

The Gunners have suffered back-to-back defeats in the Premier League, losing 3-2 at home to Crystal Palace last weekend, before a midweek defeat at the hands of Wolves.

However, they are just a point outside the top four in the Premier League and victory over the Foxes would put them just a point behind third-placed Spurs, after their north London rivals were beaten by West Ham on Saturday.

It was Tottenham's first defeat at their new home in N17, and opened the race for the final two Champions League spots back up again.

Spurs have ended the season with a run of home games, after delays to the opening of their new ground, while Arsenal on the other hand, have ended the season with three away games in their final four.

And Gunners head coach Unai Emery has opened up on the way the fixtures have fallen this season, with Tottenham currently holding the advantage in the race for the top four.

When asked if it was fair, he said: "When I was in Spain, it was different. They had a plan. We started playing the first half of the season and then played the teams at the same time in the second.

"Here it’s different and at PSG it was different. I need to adapt because the people who have the responsibility know better than me. My adaptation is 100% respect.

"But we know that [Spurs have more home games]. I respect their responsibility to do it like that.

"Here is I think the most competitive league because each team gives us difficulties because they have good players. The spirit here with the atmosphere is very high in all the stadiums.

"In Spain maybe it’s more technical. French is also physical, less technical. Here is physical and technical.  I think tactically, here, they are improving a lot with very good coaches, also the young English coaches.

"A championship with 20 teams, I think the best is here."

Emery also admitted that he does not feel pressure in his job, no matter what results come his way.

"In my career I was feeling not pressure," he insisted. "It’s demands. I am very demanding of myself. I want to be demanding with the club and the players because I know it’s a difficult way for us. But never I felt the pressure because I enjoy my job."
