Unai Emery makes big admission about his job as Arsenal fans urge Raul Sanllehi to make decision

Unai Emery says he takes full responsibility for Arsenal's poor form and admits he has to do personally do better to improve results.

The Gunners drew 2-2 with Southampton on Saturday, but had to rely on a stoppage time goal from Alexandre Lacazette to rescue a point after goals from Danny Ings and James Ward-Prowse had looked like giving the Saints a shock win.

Arsenal sit seventh in the table after the draw, eight points adrift of the top four places, and qualification for the Champions League becomes more difficult with every poor result.

Speaking after the game, Emery was asked about whether he has the support of the Arsenal hierarchy.

"They are supporting me everyday and I also have my responsibility," he said.

"I know I can do better and I can take more performances with the players and I am going to try and do this."

At the final whistle, supporters audibly showed their anger with loud jeers and Emery admitted he understood why fans booed the side off.

"We are disappointed, we are frustrated and I understand the supporters.

"We did deserve more today. We lost a very good opportunity to connect with our supporters, they helped us but really we know here (Emirates Stadium) is the key. To feel comfortable and strong here to take confidence but we didn't do that.

"The first-half, we were drawing but how we were playing wasn't enough. We started the second-half better, we changed and I think it was the best 20 minutes of the whole season.

"We created chances, we didn't score but I was happy in that moment because I wanted to look at our players. Then, they scored we were better maybe and we took some risks after that to draw but we conceded more chances.

"We drew in the last minute but that's not enough. Really, we and the fans can be disappointed and angry because of the result."
