Unai Emery confirms Arsenal team news ahead of Manchester United fixture

Arsenal will be without just two first-team players when they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday.

Unai Emery revealed in a press conference on Friday that France international Alexandre Lacazette and youngster Emile Smith Rowe are the only players unavailable for selection against United.

Lacazette is nursing an ankle injury that is expected to keep him out for several weeks, while Smith Rowe suffered concussion during Arsenal's League Cup meeting with Nottingham Forest earlier this week.

Gunners trio Rob Holding, Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin all made their first appearances of the season against Forest after missing the opening few weeks of the season with injuries.

"The Emirates on Tuesday with them was amazing, the reaction for Rob Holding, with Kieran Tierney, with Hector Bellerin playing the first 15 minutes after eight months," Emery said.

"We can be a better competitive team with them. For us being available with every player is the perfect moment.

"Now we have two injuries [against United]. Lacazette and Emile Smith Rowe. Hopefully in a few weeks they can be training with us and available to play. Really we are really happy with Rob Holding, Hector and Kieran."
