Unai Emery breaks silence after Mesut Ozil throws jacket at dugout

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has called on his side to 'limit their frustration' after midfielder Mesut Ozil appeared to throw a coat at the Everton coaching staff during Sunday's defeat.

The Gunners' hopes of finishing in the top four suffered a blow as they came away from Goodison Park with a 1-0 loss.

Veteran defender Phil Jagielka, who was a last-minute replacement for the ill Michael Keane, scored the decisive goal in the 10th minute of the match as the Toffees held on for their third consecutive win.

A frustrating afternoon for the Emery culminated in a touchline argument with opposite number Marco Silva after Dominic Calvert-Lewin was brought down by Shkodran Mustafi in the 83rd minute.

Ozil, who had been substituted shortly before the incident, appeared to throw his jacket towards the Everton manager during the altercation.

"We need to limit our frustration and we are learning that," said Emery after the match.

"[It was] not a good result but we are in a good way, we are fourth in the table."

Victory on Merseyside would have seen Arsenal leapfrog Tottenham in the table but defeat saw them remain a point behind their North London rivals, with both having played 32 games.

They also stay level on points with Chelsea, who play West Ham on Monday night.

Emery's side welcome Napoli to the Emirates for the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final on Thursday before they travel to FA Cup finalists Watford next Monday.

"We have a big match against Napoli in midweek and the next week against Watford is a positive game for us," he continued.

"We lost but we need to get back up quickly and find the next win."
