Arsenal fans could do with a boost when it comes to the summer transfer window.
The Gunners are yet to make a summer signing, and have a limited transfer budget after missing out on qualification for the Champions League.
And now, Unai Emery and Arsenal could be dealt a fresh setback in their hopes of landing some of their top targets.
That's because former Gunner Ismael Bennacer is reportedly set to turn down a move to Fiorentina this summer.
Reports in France suggest that Bennacer will reject a move to join La Viola from Empoli, despite a fee reportedly being agreed between the two clubs.
The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away this summer after impressing in Serie A, since making the move from Arsenal in 2017 after never making an impression on the first team in north London under Arsene Wenger.
If he does move this summer, the Gunners reportedly have a 30 per cent sell-on clause on Bennacer , who joined Arsenal from French side Arles in 2015 and is reportedly worth around €15m.
As such, they could be in line for a potential windfall of close to €5m, should he make a move from Empoli.
Such a move could still happen though, with Empoli's president, Fabrizio Corsi, admitting in April that the midfielder was almost certain to leave this summer.
"We say that there is an interest on the part of Napoli and we are happy that an important team is interested in him, Corsi said, as per CalcioNapoli1926 . "I think he can play in Naples, in Rome, and Inter.
"He has great dynamism, great feet, and a great personality."
