Eintracht Frankfurt have been handed a major injury blow ahead of their Europa League clash against Arsenal.
The Bundesliga outfit go into the game on the back of a poor result at the weekend.
First-half goals from Augsburg pair Marco Richter and Florian Niederlechner inflicted a 2-1 loss at the Augsburg Arena on Saturday afternoon.
That proved to be a second defeat of the campaign - both of which have come away from home.
And they will be looking to get back to winning ways against an Arsenal side which allowed a 2-0 lead to slip away at Watford on Sunday.
However, last season's semi-finalists welcome the Gunners to the Commerzbank-Arena on Thursday evening and will have to make do without one key player.
Speaking to the media ahead of the game, Frankfurt boss Adi Hutter revealed that he expects to be without key midfielder Sebastien Rode for the clash against the Gunners because of a knee injury.
"Sadly it's unlikely that Sebastian Rode will feature," Hutter said at his pre-match press conference. "He's got a bruised knee.
"Filip Kostic is doing well and there's a good chance he'll be back in the starting XI."
Rode's absence is a massive blow for Frankfurt as he's been a regular in the starting XI this season since arriving from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old has featured in all but three games across all competitions thus far, winning 1.8 tackles and making 0.5 interceptions per game in the top flight of German football (Via Whoscored).
Although, having Kostic back will be welcome news.
The Serbia international featured in the Euro 2020 qualification loss at home to Portugal, but missed the 2-1 defeat by Augsburg at the weekend.
