Unaccompanied teenagers banned from KFC restaurant over staff safety

Bosses at a branch of KFC have banned unaccompanied teenagers from eating inside their restaurant.

KFC has confirmed that teenagers on their own will only be able to buy food from the Cross Street Retail Park branch in Long Eaton if they eat it elsewhere.

A spokesman for the fast food giant said it comes after an incident which saw "behaviour the Colonel wouldn't be happy with".

It is unknown at this stage whether the move is permanent or temporary.

A KFC spokesperson said: "Our seating area is limited for now as there's been some behaviour the Colonel wouldn't be happy with and the safety of our team members and guests is really important to us.

"We hope it's only temporary but in the meantime all our fans can still order and enjoy our finger lickin' chicken."
