Gardai seized an unaccompanied learner motorist's car after they were spotted "driving recklessly" and later failed a drug test.
Officers from the Limerick Roads Policing Unit intercepted the vehicle on the north of Limerick city.
The driver held a learner permit and was not accompanied by a full-licence driver.
And a drug test reading showed they tested positive for cocaine, opiates and cannabis.
A garda spokesperson said: "Driver also failed a roadside test for driving under the influence of drugs."
The motorist was arrested at the scene and their vehicle was seized.
Meanwhile, gardai in Dublin seized another car from an unaccompanied learner driver.
A tweet on the official Garda Twitter account said: "Gardaí based in the Dublin Metropolitan Region seized this vehicle under the Clancy Amendment as the driver was unaccompanied and operating under a learner permit.
"The driver is also not insured to tow a trailer".
