Unaccompanied learner driver driving car without NCT caught red-handed by Dublin garda patrol

An unaccompanied learner driver was nabbed driving around Dublin in a car that didn't have an NCT certificate.

They were caught red-handed by gardai from Kevin Street who were on patrol on Cork Street when they noticed the car.

After being issued with a fixed charge penalty notice, the car was seized from the driver.

They now face a further court date and a potential driving ban following the incident.

Gardai said: "Gardaí from Kevin Street were on patrol when they observed this car. Using the #MobilityApp it was found that the car had no NCT Certificate & the driver was an unaccompanied Learner driver. The car was seized & Fixed Charge Penalty Notice was issued. Proceedings to follow."
