The United Nations condemned on Friday this week’s attack by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen against Saudi Arabia’s Abha International Airport.
Spokesman for the UN Stéphane Dujarric said: “We have and will continue to condemn attacks on civilian infrastructure.”
“International law is very clear that civilian infrastructure should never be targeted,” he stressed.
“We’re also concerned about the renewed fighting and casualties we’re seeing around Marib, and I think it is very important for all parties involved to renew their commitment to a political process.”
