Umpire cam from the College World Series shows how scary it is to get hit by a 100 MPH pitch

Thanks to umpire cam, we’ve seen some really cool stuff, like triple-digit fastballs from Major Leagers and the same from pitchers in the College World Series.

This one? A little bit more frightening, at least to me.

Because this shows you what it’s like to have a 100 MPH fastball coming your way and hitting you in the ribs. It’s a video courtesy of ESPN — captured by Rob Friedman AKA Pitching Ninja — of an LSU hitter seeing that thing coming his way and getting hit right in the side. If it were me seeing this pitch, I’d be diving away and screaming.
