Universal Piece is one of the most intuitive RPG Roblox experiences, yet even with all the tutorials and in-game guides, there are some pieces of information that can help you out hugely when starting out. So, to help you out, we prepared this ultimate Universal Piece beginner's guide! It will teach you all the basics: how to progress, upgrade your character, unlock secret abilities, and more. So, let's dive into it!
Universal Piece General Progression Tips

Overall progresison in Universal Piece is fairly similar to that in other "Piece" Roblox experiences, and it boils down to this:
- Find the Quest NPC on your current island and do quests appropriate for your level.
- Level up, increase stats, and repeat until you reach the requirements for the next type of quest.
- Unlock better Weapons, Fighting Styles, and Fruits, and increase your power.
- Fight bosses and clear whatever other content you encounter.
- Rinse and repeat until you max out your character.
How to Find Important NPC Locations

To find quest NPCs, Weapon/Fighting Style teachers, Fruit vendors, gacha NPCs, and everything else you'll need in Universal Piece, you can use the GuideTracker. To open the GuideTracker, expand the menu on the left and then click on the book/question mark icon. Scroll through the GuideTracker to find all the islands, and press Track to highlight the location of any NPC you need.
How to Get a Ship/Hoverboard

You'll have to move from island to island to progress in Universal Piece, and for that, you can use boats, purchasable from Boat Sellers, at the docks of every island. The two options are the Ship (50K Yen) and the Hoverboard (100K Yen). Once you buy one of these two, click on the dialogue option at the bottom to spawn it. The Hoverboard is faster and a better choice in general. You can also just jump/dash to the next island, though you'll need to invest your stats into Melee to have more energy/stamina.
How to Get Fruits/Powers in Universal Piece
There are two main ways you can get Fruits/Powers in Universal Piece: Power Gacha and Power Dealer. Also, some fruits can be obtained as drops from bosses, dungeons, and other types of content. Here are explanations for each method.
Power Gacha

The Power Gacha allows you to roll for fruits. Each roll costs 100 Gems and you can roll up to 10 times every hour. Once the timer resets, you'll be able to roll again. There are two Power Gacha NPCs on the map. One is on the Starter Island and one is on Solo Island.
Power Dealer

You can buy fruits at the Power Dealer for Gems or Robux. The prices here are extremely high, and it's generally not worth buying Fruits here until way later into the game. There are two Power Dealers on the map; one is on Starter Island, and one is on Solo Island.
Other Methods

You can also get Fruits as drops from bosses, solving some NPC quests, and you can buy them from the Robux shop. For example, you can get Turbo Exorcist fruit on Alien Island by farming the Turbo Mama boss. Play the game, and you'll eventually discover all of these.
How to Get Fighting Styles/Combats in Universal Piece

Fighting Styles/Combats are mainly obtained via NPCs. You'll need to turn in Yen, Gems, and some resources, and you'll get the Fighting Style in return. You can find all of these NPCs in the Guide Tracker. Resources needed for each style are usually dropped on the island where the NPCs are.
How to Get Swords in Universal Piece

Swords are usually obtained in the same way as Fighting Styles: from NPCs. However, some Swords can be bought in the Robux shop or dropped by bosses. Farming the best Swords is extremely difficult, even if you're already maxed out. So be prepared for one hell of a grind.
How Stats Work in Universal Piece

There are four stats in Universal Piece you can increase to strengthen your character: Melee, Defense, Weapons, and Power. You get 3 Stat Points per level, and the maximum number of points you can invest in a stat is 10,000. Currently, the maximum Player Level is 10,000, so you'll be able to max out 3 stats at most. Here is what each stat does:
- Melee: Increases your Fighting Style skills/M1 damage and max Energy/Stamina.
- Defense: Increases your maximum HP.
- Weapons: Increases your Sword skills/M1 damage.
- Power: Increases your Fruit/Power skills/M1 damage.
How to Reset Stats

You can reset stats for free by talking to one of the two Reset Stats NPCs. They are located on the Starter Island and on the Solo Island. You may reset your stats as many times as you want to find the best balance for you.
