Picking the best race in RogueBlox is more important than in other Roblox RPGs since they can give you quite powerful passive and active abilities. Also, it's much easier and cheaper rerolling them and getting new ones than in RPGs like Rune Slayer or Deepwoken. That's why I'm going to take you through the strongest ones in this RogueBlox race tier list and guide.

RogueBlox Race Tier List

The best race in RogueBlox is a title shared by several great options which we'll discuss below in more detail. All you need to know is that you want to keep races that have good PVP abilities as well as PVE. RogueBlox PVE isn't hard but the biggest problem are other player ganking and wiping you since this is a permadeath game. This means you need to get good at PVP and have a strong race for this. There's no trash race so no D-Tier, play what you like but keep in mind that some races are drastically stronger than others. Let's quickly outline what all Tiers mean and then go into each race separately below:
- S-Tier: The most useful overall PVP and PVE options.
- A-Tier: Incredibly strong PVP-only options.
- B-Tier: Races that can be great under specific situations or have a powerful niche use.
- C-Tier: Can be decent options but are generally underpowered compared to the rest.
Info: Race abilities require a certain number of in-game Days to pass. Each day is 30 minutes of in-game time.
S-Tier Races
Race | Race Abilities | Ranking Reason |

Actives • [Day 5] Perform a claw grab in front of you that does swiping attacks. Adds +1 claw swipe for every M1 landed within the past 4s. • [Day 12] Cleanse yourself of all debuffs. |
• Amazing for Rogue daggers and also for swords since you can sneak up to someone and deal huge damage with the Day 4 passive before combat even starts • The Day 5 active adds burst damage after your out-of-combat opening combo and stacks with higher attack speed weapons • You can do a free combo when near death since you'll ignore lethal damage once • The Day 1 passive is incredibly against ultra classes that do huge burst damage |
![]() Kaoshin 1.667% Roll Chance |
Passives • [Day 3] As long as your mana is charged over 50% and you are not in combat, Gate will be cast without error. • [Day 10] Gain a Cloud stack on final M1s, critical attacks, and when gaining a speed boost. Upon reaching 4 Cloud stacks, gain a 20% chance to dodge attacks, 100% chance if projectile for 10 seconds. 50s CD. Actives • [Day 0] You spawn in with the natural ability to cast the Gate spell. Cast Range: 70-75% • [Day 25] You are able to swap your position with another individual. Cast Range: ~50% |
• Gate is a spell that allows you to teleport anywhere around the world which has a plethora of uses and is the most powerful utility race skill in the game • The Day 10 passive dodge chance is incredible for both PVP and PVE and completely counters ranged attack projectile classes • The position swap has some great mobility and utility potential |
![]() Dwarf 2.667% Roll Chance |
Passives • [On Spawn] You have a smaller hitbox. • [On-Spawn] You have 25 more carry capacity. • [Day ?] Enchanting your weapon at a blacksmith is 50% cheaper, causing it to be 425 silver instead of 850. • [Day 5] When guard breaking someone, proc your weapon enchant. • [Day 10] Your enchant chance is doubled. • [Day 15] You are able to wear any type of armor despite your class, training, and alignment. Actives • [Day 5] Apply your weapon enchantment when you guardbreak your opponent. 15s CD. • [Day 10] Summon a grindstone, allowing anyone to increase weapon damage temporarily with each use. There is a cap of 20%. |
• Incredibly useful PVE with some great PVP damage buffs • Focuses on weapon enchants for double chances and a guaranteed proc on guard break • Damage boost with active grindstone that can also help your team • Note that if you switch races you lose the ability to wear any armor |
![]() Orc 2.667% Roll Chance |
Passives • [On Spawn] You are more resilient than most individuals. You gain 20 HP. • [On Spawn] When you drop under 40%, gain a 20% damage buff to all attacks. • [Day 5] Guardbreaking an opponent deals 15% extra damage and slows them down by 2 seconds. • [Day 12] Your Fire no longer extinguishes in water. • [Day 15] Inflicting Burn and then using Onslaught within 1.5s will double the distance of the lunge. Enemies hit by this Onslaught will be hit by an special Burn applied on them for 2.5s. 40s CD after using the blue Onslaught. Actives • [Day 10] Take a stance, before charging forward. This move has Guardbreak and Hyperarmor (cannot be interupted). |
• Very powerful PVP race that relies on aggression with guardbreaks and keeping up comboes when low on HP for the damage boost • Beside the guardbreak from Criticals, your Onslaught on Day 10 has guardbreak • You need to have a source of Burn for the Day 15 passive to proc the Onslaught Day 10 active • Otherwise this race falls in power drastically |
A-Tier Races
Race | Race Abilities | Ranking Reason |
---|---|---|
![]() Phantom 5.667% Roll Chance |
Passives • [On Spawn] You can hold an extra life [4]. • [On Spawn] You have infinite hunger. • [Day 5] Inflicting Bleed or landing your final M1 will apply Antiheal for 3s. 60s CD. • [Day 15] M1-ing someone with Antiheal inflicted on them will increase the duration. 60s CD. • [Day 20] Inflicting Antiheal will proc your weapon enchant on the enemy. Actives • [Day 10] Frighten enemies looking at you, slowing them and doing a mini stun (Can proc anti-heal). Evolution Passives • When taking a life, go invisible for 10s. 30s CD. (Invisibility ends early upon swinging or being hit) • Briefly go invisible after dodging an attack. 20s CD. (Invisibility ends early upon swinging or being hit) • Inflict temporary blindness to unconscious enemies you're carrying. |
• Similar to Nomad where this is an extremely strong PVP-focused race only that's not the best for PVE • Antiheal is quite strong in PVP to disable recovery for one or multiple enemies • The only soft counter is lifesteal • Graveyard Helmet's effect is a really good combo where if u proc Antiheal you also apply Poison • The Frighten active on Day 10 is excellent crowd-control against multiple players • Might be S-Tier when Evolved Evolve by farming Phantom Souls from Phantom players and then using 15 to craft Specter Soul at Blacksmith and using it while being Phantom |
![]() Nomad 3.667% Roll Chance |
Passives • Requires Fade Active Countering someone with Fade will lower their Luck by 50% for 15s. Luck effects things such as enchant proc rates. Actives • Nest [Day ?] Lay down a nest respawn location, allowing you to respawn at that location upon death. • Fade [Day 10] Perform a counter animation, retaliating by knocking down anyone who attacks you in melee during the counter. • Flock [Day 15] Turn into a flock of birds, evading any attacks thrown your way. This can be used while stunned. |
• Excellent PVP-focused race • Not good for PVE • The Flock is the best ability allowing you to escape any combo • You need to get used to landing Fade which lowers proc chances • S-Tier combo with 2 evasive with Poseidon Knight or Kingslayer to get two more evasive moves |
![]() Apex 13.667% Roll Chance |
Passives • [On-Spawn] You have an Upgraded Dash and are able to double jump as well as being able to climb twice as fast. Does not stack with the Relic Cloud in a Bottle • [Day 5] You can withstand a few blows before losing your grasp on an unconscious body that you are carrying. • [Day 15] Take 15% less damage for a short duration after getting perfect blocked. • [Obtainable Passive] Climb 30% faster on wood. To get this speak to Elder Feroz who is located on the highest tree in Ritherhelm Actives • [Day 10] Enrage yourself and those around you for 20s. When enraged, deal 10% more damage and take more damage. Enemies also take more damage. |
• Free Cloud in a Bottle Relic • Dash and Double jump are amazing for PVP • The enrage is great for both PVP and PVE since it will cause others to take more damage • The enrage damage increase doesn't count towards the damage increase cap |
![]() Terran 13.667% Roll Chance |
Passives • [On-Spawn] Gain alignment and experience faster. • [On-Spawn] Every Day, gain a Bond. Each Bond increase your swing speed and weapon damage by 1% each, capping out at 10 Bonds. B-Tier Races
Race | Race Abilities | Ranking Reason |
---|---|---|
![]() Novakid 1.667% Roll Chance |
Passives • [On-Spawn] Currenly Doesn't Work When under the sun, charge mana at a faster rate. • [On-Spawn] Take 25% less fire damage. Additionally, you don't suffer from negative area effects in the Volcano (Overheating) and the Tundra (Freezing). Actives • [Day 5] Detonate your stacks from the Day 10 active. The damage scales with the amount of stacks. This also inflicts Solar Burn, a special burn effect that deals 0.75% true percent damage every 0.5 seconds. • [Day 10] Outstretch your arm, firing a barrage of projectiles that track and lock onto targets, dealing minor damage and applying stacks. |
• Really good for farming Tundra or Volcano areas since you can stay there infinitely since you don't suffer the Volcano overheat effect nor the Freeze from Tundra • The Active can be powerful if you land it but the Day 10 active is really easy to dodge • Overall against experienced players this is just a solid B-Tier race that needs a buff. |
![]() Cactorian 10.667% Roll Chance |
Passives • [On-Spawn] User will not be attacked by Giant Cacti NPC's. Actives • [On-Spawn] Users can teleport to Cactica, a special starting location for Cactorians. • [Day 2] Gain a reflection buff for 8 seconds that reflect 20% of the damage you take back to the attacker. • [Day 5] Curl up into a ball, unleashing a damaging storm of small thorn spikes into every direction within a small radius around you. • [Day 35] Day 35 ability will now spread any and all fire applied onto yourself to your opponents on the last tick. |
• The Cactica starting location isn't finished yet so some features might be missing • The reflection is the best ability this race has but while it's strong it's not in higher Tiers since enemies can usually wait it out with dashes and blocks • The active ability is weak but the Day 35 buff makes it pretty good |
![]() Hytlotl 3.667% Roll Chance |
Passives • [On Spawn] Swim faster. • [Day 15] When perfect blocking attacks or inflicting electrocution, build up static electricity in your gills. After PBing with 4 stacks, release the electricity and electrocute nearby enemies. • [Day 20] Inflicting Electrocution will proc your weapon enchantment on the enemy. M1-ing enemies that are in the Electrocution animation will boost your weapon enchantment proc chance to 100%. These effects have a shared CD of 50s. Actives • [Day 10] Dash forward while spreading open your arms and spinning, dealing hitstun and damage to anyone nearby. |
• While the AOE shock isn't anything special the 100% guaranteed enchant proc on Electrocution is pretty good. • The race is still B-Tier because it doesn't have much else to propel it to A or S. |
![]() Lihzahrd 9.667% Roll Chance |
Passives • [On-Spawn] Zilards will not attack you. • [On-Spawn] Mana run much faster while out of danger. • [Day 5] Take 40% less poison damage. • [Day 15] Armor penetration is 20% less effective to you. • [Day 20] Landing a projectile or rag-dolling someone with 1 or more Poison stacks will apply another Poison stack. 20s CD. • [Day 30] Negate true damage from Poisoned enemies. 10s CD. Actives • [Day 10] Shoot a bone skewer out of your chest. If landed, temporarily slow down your enemy and nullify their armor resistances until the tether is broken. Additionally, your M1s will deal 10% extra damage as bleed damage to tethered enemies. |
• Most of the benefits are nice to have but aren't anything powerful • Lihzahrd wants you to get Poison damage for the Day 20 and Day 30 ability and then they're A-Tier with some practice if you can use them relaibly • The active is mid, not great, not terrible |
![]() Florian 11.667% Roll Chance |
Passives • [On-Spawn] As a Florian, you gain the ability to store "essence" with the Day 3 Active. • [Day 20] At 100% Essence, deal 10% extra damage on all attacks. • [Day 25] On each hit of the Day 10 active, apply honey that restores essence. Actives • [Day 3] Slowly descend into the ground passively recovering hunger and essence. Your character's head will stick outside of the ground. While in the ground, you will take 55% less damage. • [Day 10] • Fire a beam of energy using your essence as a resource dealing AOE damage in front of you. |
• Arguably almost a C-Tier race but the 10% damage increase is good. • This is because the beam was nerfed to deal less damage and have less AOE. It's still okay for PVE but it's harder to use in PVP. • The nice part about the race is that hunger is never a problem since you can recharge it with the Day 3 active. |
C-Tier Races
Race | Race Abilities | Ranking Reason |
---|---|---|
![]() Elf 11.667% Roll Chance |
Passives • [On-Spawn] Charge mana 18% faster. • [Day 10] Spell casting range increased by 7.5%. Stacks with all other forms of increased spell casting range. • [Day 25] Gain an extra spell clap without needing to lose maximum HP. Can hold 4 claps compared to normally holding 3. Actives • [Day 10] Coat your body in mana, allowing you to absorb a spell before shattering. Additionally, you nullify any incoming projectiles or multi-hitting spells. |
• The active is really good but otherwise all the benefits are lackluster if you're not heavily focusing on spells. • B-Tier for mages |
![]() Avian 5.667% Roll Chance |
Passives • [On-Spawn] When above 50% mana, gain zero gravity properties. This applies to your jump. • [On-Spawn] Take 30% less fall damage. • [Day 5] Gain a speed boost if you land any projectile hit. • [Day 15] Reset Active CD after landing your final M1. 10 second CD. • [Day 20] M1-ing enemies with speed boosts will siphon half of their speed boost to you. 30s CD. Actives • [Day 10] Throw forward 3 feather projectiles dealing damage. If you're in the air during this action, lift yourself up and float for a short duration. |
• Has a fun playstyle that is decently mobile but the racial abilities simply aren't that strong • The projectiles deal low damage and you can't stay in the air and kite since you have to complete your M1 combo on the ground to reset the Active |
![]() Goblin 11.667% Roll Chance |
Passives • [On-Spawn] Sell trinkets for more silver. • [On-Spawn] Can eat trinkets and gain 25% hunger. Actives • [On-Spawn] Upon activation, user will be unable to move and character screen will turn black for 5 seconds. During this period, players can see nearby ingredients and trinkets, even through walls • [Day 5] Upon eating a trinket, user can spit it out as a projectile dealing damage to opponents |
• If any race is a D-Tier it's Goblins but at least they farm Silver well • Useless for PVP |
All Race Reroll Methods in RogueBlox
RogueBlox has a really flexibile race reroll system and here are all methods for changing your race:
- Memento Farm: You can pay 2.5 Mementos to reroll your race after wiping. You gain Mementos by progressing in the game, getting an Ultra class or getting two Supers, petting the Traveling Merchant's cat 10 times and then talking to the dog upstairs and various other methods. You cash Mementos in when wiping. I farmed Mementos by doing the Traveling Merchant's cat method for 0.3 Mementos and wiping (The merchant has 8 possible locations). That said, you can also get Ultra class progression fast without an Ultra class and instead getting 2 Super classes which gets you 1 Memento. I recommend this method and then wiping since it's faster by rushing base Spearman into Gladiator Super at the Colloseum NPC and the base sword class into Executioner Super (Chaotic) above the Jungle Town at Erewhon's Respite. This gets you Ultra class progression and 1 Memento from 2 Super classes so you don't actually need to get an Ultra class for Memento farming.
- Robux: Same as with Mementos, you can also pay 80 Robux to reroll your race during character creation or after wiping.
- Codes: Checkout the link below for RogueBlox codes which will sometimes give you free race rerolls.
That's it for my RogueBlox race tier list and guide. Don't forget to check out our RogueBlox codes for free goodies for the game.
