Amazon's popular Fire TV Stick range of streaming devices is facing some serious competition from one of its arch-rivals. Roku also produces plenty of devices that plug into TVs and beam content to the big screen but one of its most premium products, which also features an in-built soundbar, has just had a massive price cut.
The Roku Streambar usually costs over £120 but, right now, a number of stores have slashed that price by a whopping £70. That means it can currently be yours for just £59.99.
Thanks to that incredible discount, this device is now cheaper than Amazon's Fire TV Stick 4K Max (£64.99) and the same price as the Amazon Fire TV 4K.
Incredibly, even Amazon is offering this mega price reduction with the online retailer joining Argos, Very and Currys in dishing out the deal.
So what's included on the Streambar?
Just like those Amazon-powered devices, the Streambar offers instant access to all of the most popular streaming services such as Disney+, Netflix and Apple TV+ but owners also get that huge sound boost.
Tucked under the shell of this device are four internal speakers that are compatible with stunning Dolby Atmos technology.
For those not aware, Dolby Atmos is a surround sound technology that makes audio appear far more immersive with noise hitting your ears from all directions.
Along with Atmos, you get volume modes that reduce the sound during adverts and there’s the option to boost the noise of voices so you can always hear exactly what’s being said on the screen.
Other features packed inside the Streambar include a voice remote that offers instant access to the Alexa and Google Assistant. That means you can control the on-screen action, find movies and pause content without needing to press endless buttons on the remote.
