The best Skill in Endless Horde depends on what game mode you're going for whether it be story progression or endless. I'll talk about the most powerful skills for both modes in two separate tier lists with explanations for each skill. Here's my Endless Horde skill tier list and guide.

Endless Horde Skill Tier List (Story)
For the Endless Horde skill tier list for story mode you want fast Skills that are good right off the bat and can hit fliers. This means that Grenade and Lightning take the cake for fliers and Shooting is the best skill for DPS and it too can hit fliers with Tracking Bullets from the Lightning synergy. Skills like Laser Beam are much slower and worse off here but it gets better for Endless which I'll talk about below. For now, let's dive into the ranking explanations for all individual skills below.
S-Tier Story Skills

 Shooting |
• Not to be confused with the Gun item boosts, this skill has the most reliable DPS in the game • It's the best skill in Endless Horde for both story and endless grinding • This is because the Multishot, Burst Shot and Bullet Split upgrades give you a ton of AOE damage • It's also got the best range in the game to clear hordes before they reach your other skill ranges • You just need air support but the gun can hit air if you get the Tracking Bullet after Lightning Enchant |
• The upper ones - Multishot, Burst Shot and Bullet Split for AOE • I highly recommend combining it with Lightning for the Lightning Enchant that leads into Tracking Bullets for air damage |
 Grenade |
• While Grenades have a bit of a lower range they are the best anti-air weapon and the story will swarm you with air units • They offer good AOE and outside of fire immune enemies they do deal great DPS • One caveat is that I would rush towards the Missile (Don't worry about Nuke, that's for Endless) • Between Shooting and Grenade you're covered for story |
• The Missile and the Burst options are the best while keeping up Explosion damage and cooldown |
 Lightning Strike |
• A great alternative to Grenades that can hit both ground and air • You also stun zombies and have great AOE damage • Rush Tracking Lightning for massive Story clears which is one of the best upgrades since it resets cooldown on kills |
• Tracking Lightning is by far the best upgrade in the game • Take the damage ups and then tertiary upgrades can be Synergies with other skills where I recommend the Grenade synergy |
A-Tier Story Skills

• This is a great option for story but I put it in A instead of S due to low range and the inability to hit flying enemies • It's still decent for crowd control and stuns with the freeze effect • The damage is decent too, especially if you can get the increased size upgrades and the damage ups |
• Both the Huge Ice Arrow and the multi hit Ice Arrow upgrades are really good • Of course always go for the damage up Ice Arrow Enhancement |
B-Tier Story Skills

• Only good in Story if you can rush the Sweep Laser upgrade after Slowing Beam/Laser Spread • Otherwise it's a really bad story option where you don't have as much time to make it powerful enough and exploit the OP Nuclear Laser synergies • But if you can get the sweeping version it's pretty good but it's definitely an S-Tier for Endless which I'll talk about below • It might be even worse for story because it can't hit flying but if you can get sweep fast then your ground game is covered |
• The Sweep Laser alongside the Nuclear Laser for synergies • The damage upgrades |
 Rock Car |
• An off-meta niche pick for both story and endless because it's quite slow with bad range and it cannot hit flying units • Still, it's not the worst because it slows enemies and has great AOE damage and hits crawlers |
• The multi car upgrades combined with the Heavy to Mega Armor |
C-Tier Story Skills

 Tornado |
• The Tornado is only good for pulling some enemies back to spawn and hitting fliers • That said there's a lot of bad stuff about it that makes it underpowered • It cannot hit bosses, it deals trash-tier damage and it has a buggy cooldown where it sometimes doesn't go off • Plus it doesn't synergize with Shooting, the best skill in the game • Overall it can be okay for Endless once you stack it up with upgrades but I would avoid it like the plague for story |
• The multi tornado upgrades along with damage and the Electrified Tornado synergy with Lightning |
Endless Horde Skill Tier List (Infinite)
As for the Endless mode Endless Horde skill tier list the rankings change because some Skills like Laser Beam become much better. This is due to the fact that you have more time to reach the OP late-game upgrades and synergies like Laser Beam's Nuclear Laser upgrade + Missile Grenade upgrade for Nuke Grenade. Shooting is still the best skill so you can't go wrong with that. Let's dive into each individual skill below.
S-Tier Endless Skills

• Still the best anti-air you have • The reason why it's so good on infinite is that you can turn it into a Nuke with the Laser Beam synergy from the Nuclear Laser upgrade • After you have that you can pick the Nuke Grenade upgrade and watch everything explode • You have much more time to set this up in Endless than in the story |

• The best ground mob clear in the game both for enemies, elites and bosses • Rush sweeping upgrade and then go for Nuclear Laser • This will annihilate everything and you have time to set it up in Endless |

B-Tier Endless Skills
