Ulta CEO Mary Dillon stepping down in June

Ulta CEO Mary Dillon is stepping down in June, the company said Thursday.

Dillon served as CEO over the past eight years, a period of rapid growth for the Bolingbrook-based beauty retailer. She will be succeeded by company president Dave Kimbell.

“It has been the honor of my career to lead the Ulta Beauty family for the last eight years and a true joy to have been inspired by our dedicated associates and beauty-loving guests daily,” Dillon said in a news release Thursday. “Our strategies, culture and continuous innovation have strengthened our business model, ensuring we are well-positioned to continue leading the industry.”

Dillon will become executive chair of the board of directors.
