Ulster vs Toulouse Champions Cup clash moved due to Covid-19

Ulster's Champions Cup quarter-final against Toulouse has been moved due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Dan McFarland's side had been set to take on the French giants at Le Stadium de Toulouse but the clash has been switched to the Stade Ernest-Wallon due to local health measures.

5,000 people will be permitted to attend the game in the 19,000-capacity ground.

The time and date are unchanged and the match will go ahead on September 20 with a 12:30pm kick-off time.

Local authorities in Toulouse demanded the venue change and rejected an appeal from the French side to increase the number of supporters allowed to attend - much to the frustration of club bosses.

Toulouse president Didier Lacroix said: "Knock-out games at home are always great moments of sport, which is so big in our city.

"Playing this quarter-final at a reduced level frustrates us enormously - by relocating the quarter-final to Ernest Wallon and with the attendance limited to 5,000 people, we are dividing our possible revenues by eight times."

England's Wayne Barnes will referee the game and the winner will face either Exeter or Northampton in the final four.
