Ulster open online ballot to allow 500 fans into Champions Cup opener

Ulster Rugby will welcome 500 supporters to Kingspan Stadium on Friday night when they take on Toulouse in the first round of this season’s Heineken Champions Cup.

The two week 'circuit-breaker' lockdown in Northern Ireland ends on Friday ahead of the clash with the star-studded French giants.

Following the successful safe return of spectators to Guinness PRO14 home games in recent weeks, Ulster Rugby has continued to work closely with the IRFU, Belfast City Council and the Northern Ireland Executive to allow the maximum number of fans, within the current government restrictions, to attend the upcoming fixture. That current maximum permitted number is 500.

Ulster have won eight games out of eight so far this season with their last defeat coming against Friday's opponents Toulouse in last season's Champions Cup quarter-final in September.

All available tickets will be made accessible to #TogetherUlster Members only via an online ballot process.

#TogetherUlster Memberships are still available at  ulsterrugby.com/togetherulster  – priced at £65 for Adults with a £10 bolt-on option for Juniors. All adult Members will have access to the ballot.

Friday night’s match will feature seated tickets only in operation across the Grandstand and Memorial stand. Tickets are priced at £25 each, allocated in groups of two with two-metre physical distancing factored in.

The online ballot will be open for 24 hours from 2pm today (Monday 7 December) on the Ulster Rugby Ticket Account Manager, and account holders can apply for one pair of tickets per every Adult #TogetherUlster Membership held.

All successful applicants will be notified on Tuesday evening once the ballot has closed and tickets have been allocated. Members will then have until 2pm on Wednesday, December 9 to confirm their ticket purchase and process payment.
