Ulster announce contract extensions for trio

Ulster Rugby have announced contract extensions for Billy Burns, Marty Moore and Jordi Murphy.

Burns and Moore have put pen-to-paper on new two-year deals which will see them tied to the club until 2024, while Murphy's one-year extension sees him committed to 2023.

The news follows on from fresh contracts announced on Tuesday for James Hume, Tom O’Toole and Matty Rea.

Head Coach Dan McFarland said: “The news that Billy, Marty and Jordi see their futures as being with Ulster is a big boost for the squad, as all three players will continue to bring a wealth of experience and leadership to the group.

“I look forward to them playing an integral role in our ambitions to win silverware as a squad.”

Out-half Billy Burns, 27, joined Ulster from Gloucester in the summer of 2018 and has gone on to make 59 appearances for the province.

Tighthead prop Moore also joined in 2018 and has made 64 appearances since arriving from Wasps, while Murphy - who is battling back from long-term injury - captained McFarland's side on a number of occasions last season.
