Ulrika Jonsson takes 'brutal' swipe at pregnant Molly-Mae Hague as she brands her 'pointless' and 'irritating'

TV presenter Ulrika Jonsson has unleashed a furious rant on Molly-Mae Hague following the Love Island star's recent baby gender reveal. Last month influencer Molly-Mae announced she was expecting her first baby with boyfriend Tommy Fury after meeting on Love Island back in 2019.

Earlier this week the 23-year-old revealed the couple were having a baby girl after Molly-Mae shared a gender reveal video with her 6.7 million followers on Instagram. The creative director of PrettyLittleThing shared a sweet video of the pair holding a balloon that read 'boy or girl' with boxer Tommy popping it to unveil pink confetti.

The mum-to-be jumped for joy the song The Vow by Irish singer RuthAnn played which held a special place in Molly-Mae's heart after it was used during a romantic moment with her and Tommy when they were on the ITV2 dating show three years ago.

But Ulrika has revealed she found the gender reveal 'tacky' amongst other 'brutal' comments amid a furious rant in her latest Saturday column for The Sun.

The TV presenter and model, who started her career as a weather girl on GMTV, began her article asking: "DID I miss something or is Molly-Mae Hague the first woman in the world to become pregnant?".

The mum-of-four then went on to say: "A 23-year-old, unskilled and naïve influencer has got a bun in the oven.

"And she’s having a girl, we now know, because she posted one of those ghastly, tacky, “gender reveal” videos. (Must be exhausting for the poor sod who has to video her every waking moment)."

Ulrika then went on to address Molly-Mae's revelation in a recent YouTube video where she admitted to 'crying five times a day' at the beginning of her pregnancy.

The influencer and CEO told her fans: "I literally just can’t explain how the shock literally overtook my body for the first month, 100%. I just felt like every single day I was living an out-of-body experience, my emotions were something I’d never experienced before.'

"I cried maybe five times a day for no reason. Just in tears over everything. Every time we talk about it, it feels like we’re talking about a situation that’s not our own because it was a complete shock, I can’t lie."

The former Gladiators presenter hit back at her revelation, stating Molly-Mae was being 'melodramatic'.

"Not only has this been the “emotionally hardest” period of her life, poor lamb, but hapless Molly Mae has cried FIVE times a day and her whole body has been consumed by the shock of it all," Ulrika ranted.

"As somewhat of a veteran of pregnancies, I admit, it can be a ball ache of emotions — it’s a rollercoaster — and she might run the gamut of them.

"But to be talking about it as if she’s enduring some form of PTSD is drama of the highest order.

"And it must be galling for those women who just crack on with it and, worse still, for those who truly suffer from the debilitating side-effects of pregnancy throughout."

Ulrika continued on her rampage, later referring to Molly-Mae 'irritating and 'pointless'.

"Becoming pregnant is, after all, one of the most natural things to happen to a woman," she said.

"But, then, I guess if you’re 23, largely inexperienced and an unqualified “content creator” who is also a creative director of a huge fashion firm which, incidentally, amounts to organising canapes for launch parties, becoming pregnant with your long-term boyfriend and having a £6million net worth might just send you over the edge.

"I’m intensely irritated by young women like MM relentlessly making announcements and drawing attention to themselves to keep in the spotlight and newsworthy.

"I speak not from envy. I’m furiously irked by the pointlessness of someone like MM."

Molly-Mae is yet to respond the comments and has instead shared a fresh-faced selfie earlier today (September 8) after taking a relaxing bath.

The influencer then shared some of her favourite body care products that she has used and 'loved' so far in pregnancy.
