Ulrika Jonsson opens up about 'anxiety and exhaustion' over daughter's coronavirus fright

Ulrika Jonsson has opened up about her recent struggles with "anxiety and exhaustion" after she became convinced her daughter had contracted coronavirus.

The 52 year old revealed that her "ridiculously brave" eldest daughter Bo, 20, had her worried after coming back from university with "flu-like symptoms and painful chest."

These are two of the symptoms of coronavirus, which currently affects 80,000 people globally.

Sharing a photo from the hospital of Bo hooked up to a drip, Ulrika wrote: "EVERYTHING IS FINE.

"But yesterday was fraught with anxiety and exhaustion. Oldest Female Ungrateful had come home from Uni full of flu-like symptoms and painful chest.

"Wasn't allowed to go to Dr's. 111 sent an ambulance to come get her (very calmly) and took her to A&E where Corona had to be ruled out in isolation and investigations pursued due to her cardiac defect.

"She was ridiculously brave - despite the distress it was causing her. Finally given the all clear.

"Mama is so proud and relieved. And will be eternally grateful to our #nhs which is always there when you need it and has been saving her life since before she was born.

"(Huge thanks to the 3 wonderful paramedics who treated her with such care and respect. And were sweet with our doggies. I bow to thee.) #nhs #cardiacdefect."

Covid-19 is a member of the coronavirus family, coming from animals and originating from Wuhan in China.

It's spread to at least 30 other countries, including 15 cases in the UK.

It was recently reported that filming for Tom Cruise's next installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise was halted in Italy over fears of the virus.

More than 200 people have tested positive for the virus in Italy, and a statement from Paramount Pictures claimed it was following the advice of the government in Venice by showing an "abundance of caution."

Similarly, Sport Relief was forced to shift a fundraising expedition.

Sport Relief: On Thin Ice underwent a name change to The Heat Is On after a 100 mile trek across a frozen Mongolian lake was reorganised as one across Nambian desert and sand dunes.
