Thrice married Ulrika Jonsson offers divorce advice to Louise Redknapp

Ulrika Jonsson has told Louise Redknapp that her divorce from ex Jamie is her "past" and not her future as she dealt her some words of advice.

Louise and Jamie divorced back in 2017, with the footballer going on to date model Frida Anderson.

Ulrika, 53, reflected on her three divorces - from Brian Monet, Lance Gerrard-Wright and John Turnbull - as she shared her thoughts on the topic.

"So, I hope Louise and all the other divorcees out there, male and female, can unchain and emancipate themselves, believe their divorce is their past and not their future," she wrote in her column for The Sun.

"I keep hearing this negative talk and have come to realise that the end of a relationship or, indeed, a marriage should not be deemed a failure. We need to change the narrative about divorce."

She added: "We need to change the narrative about divorce. Sometimes it is no one’s fault and divorce can be accepted as a good thing — and yes, even something to be celebrated."

Louise and Jamie share sons Charley and Beau together, with the former couple co-parenting the kids.

The former Eternal star and ex-Liverpool player Jamie called time on their 19 year marriage back in 2017.

When Louise's career exploded following her incredible appearance on Strictly Come Dancing in 2016, the popular couple realised their relationship was over.

Speaking to You magazine the West End star explained: "I didn't want to lose too much of a good feeling.

"Before anyone could stop me, I just ran as fast as the wind would take me. I never once looked behind, until maybe too late.

"I should have paused for a minute and thought about other people and had just a bit more time to work out why I felt I couldn't do it anymore."
