Ulrika Jonsson matches with 18-year-old on dating app as she hunts for toyboy

Ulrika Jonsson has revealed that her hunt for a toyboy lover left her matching with an 18-year-old on a dating app.

The 54-year-old TV star admits she found herself ''down a rabbit hole'' of digital dating which began during lockdown but her foray into unknown left her inadvertently omitting the age range in her profile - leaving her potential love interests in the broadest 18-60 category.

And although the mum-of-four was happy for some ''wild, fun' ' when seeking a sexy singleton, she admits when the profile matched her with a man younger than her eldest child she had to question her choices.

"I had no idea how the process worked. But early on, when I matched with an 18-year-old, I immediately felt it was a step too far," Ulrika wrote in her Sun column.

The SAS reality star further said she wasn't phased by an age difference in fact, quite the opposite, but added: "I dismissed him because I felt that my oldest son being 27 should somehow shape my lower age limit.

"Though, naturally, I don't wish to appear ageist in any way, shape or form."

The Swedish-born star explained the ''matching'' came about when she was encouraged to try app based dating in lockdown by a friend but would welcome a younger seeing age as 'just numbers'.

And she's not the only one who believes that, as she recalled how guys she has met said older women exude confidence and '' know what they want in the bedroom''.

The columnist, who last year revealed she had sex for the first time in five years with a man she met on social media, shared how she has found younger men look at the world differently.

The thrice divorced star added: "Young people are fun. They're interesting because they think they know so much but you have bucketloads of life experience up both your sleeves. It's fascinating to learn from their world and to compare it to your own.''

And the star, who admits the biggest age gap for her previous conquests has been 27 years, hinted she's not looking for a soul mate but rather someone to enjoy life with and ''enhance her life''.

She wraps up her dating insight adding: "They're just starting out in life, while you are in the autumn of yours. But that didn't matter too much to me because I've not been looking for "The One".

"I've been there, and thrice bought the T-shirt. I was looking for fun, for someone who might enhance my life but not sustain it."
