Television presenter Ulrika Jonsson has revealed she wants to put on weight following concern regarding her body size.
Posting a pic on Instagram the mum-of-four was seen relaxing on a sunlounger in her garden sporting a pink bikini and deep tan over the May bank holiday.
However fans have expressed concern over the Swedish-born star's size with one posting: “Hello. Hope you're well. I just wanted to say you look so very slim and wanted to know if you are OK. You are a beautiful and amazing woman, but just thought how thin you are.”
Ulrika, 53, responded saying: "“I am a bit thin but trying to put weight on.
"I don’t have an eating disorder but I think the constant commenting on women’s size is unhelpful.
"I spend my life cooking, eating and feeding. I’m trying to put on weight just not nice to hear unhelpful comments but I see where you are coming from. Sending you lots of love."
It’s not the first time fans have shared their concern for Ulrika’s health and wellbeing.
In 2011, the much-loved star dropped to just seven and a half stone after a severe back condition.
The degenerative disc disease not only caused a lack of appetite but Ulrika was also left battling depression amid the chronic pain.
Previously weighing in at around nine stone, fans were stunned when Ulrika made an appearance on Good Morning Britain to discuss her condition where she looked thinner than ever.
Opening up about the painful battle, the star said at the time: “I had lost my hunger not just for food, but for life. Food is a happy thing for me and I was desperately unhappy, so there was no quick fix solution of hearty meals.
“I would estimate that at my lowest, I weighed around seven-and-a-half-stone.
“It was incredibly frustrating because the suggestion that I would risk my health for the perfect body goes against everything I've ever believed in.
She went on to add: “I've never been obsessed about the way my body looks. All I've ever wanted is to be healthy because, without our health, we have nothing.”
The television star suffered heartache at the end of last year when her bulldog, Nessie, died following kidney failure. She has since gone under the tattoo gun to get a fitting tribute to the pooch.
But now Ulrika has a permanent reminder of her pet – who she previously called her “first born fur baby”.
Taking to Instagram last week, the mum-of-four posed in the mirror and shared a photo of herself showing a huge sunflower tattoo on her arm.
Beneath the yellow inking was the name “Nessie” written in black ink and in simple joined-lettering calligraphy.
