Ukrainian refugees can find remote work with job platform

Ukrainian refugees are being offered a new way to find remote work thanks to a jobs platform. SafetyWing has launched a jobs board listing companies that are offering worldwide remote positions in an effort to help refugees, internally displaced persons, and those otherwise affected.

SafetyWing is a Norwegian start-up that launched in 2018. Today it provides travel, medical and global insurance for nomads and remote teams.

SafetyWing has created a remote work jobs board that currently lists 31 companies offering remote positions and direct links to those roles. More than 6.6 million people have fled Ukraine since 24th February 2022 according to official figures by UNHCR, in addition to more than 7 million people internally displaced in Ukraine.

Some of the companies include CodeMonk , which is a platform for developers and engineers, Realpad , which is a real estate sales management platform for sales, and The Happy Beavers , which provides content and SEO services.

Sondre Rasch, co-founder and CEO at SafetyWing, said: “With the ongoing war in Ukraine we are witnessing a humanitarian crisis. Remote work offers an opportunity for refugees and those otherwise affected to continue to support themselves and their families no matter where they are.”
