Ukraine's parliament passed a law to curb the influence of the country's powerful oligarchs on Thursday, a day after an assassination attempt against a top aide of President Volodymyr Zelenskiy who pushed for the reform.
Zelenskiy's team has suggested anger at the law could be behind an attempt to murder Serhiy Shefir, a top aide and close friend of the president.
