Ukraine war briefing: Two killed and six injured in overnight Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv

  • Across Ukraine , at least 14 other people were killed in attacks overnight and on Wednesday, including in Odesa, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia.
  • President Volodymyr Zelensky has endorsed Sergii Koretskyi to become Ukraine 's next prime minister, following a government reshuffle.
  • Russia warned that any foreign troops deployed to Ukraine under a post-war security arrangement would be considered “legitimate military targets”.
  • Sir Keir Starmer affirmed the UK's “cast-iron” support for Ukraine during his visit to the country, while artillery barrels forged in Sheffield, Britain, are now being delivered to Ukraine's military.
