Hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets in Ukraine on Sunday to call for the resignation of the president, Viktor Yanukovych.

If you witnessed or took part in the demonstrations, the Guardian would like to hear your experiences. Please share your videos and photos of the protests via GuardianWitness.

Though we'd like to hear from you, your security is most important. We recognise it may not always be safe or appropriate to record or share your experiences – so please think about this when deciding whether to record and again when deciding whether to share your content on GuardianWitness.

To contribute to our coverage of the story, click on the blue button or download the free GuardianWitness app. Please don't send us pictures you have found on other websites – we can't publish them.

  • GuardianWitness is the home of user-generated content on the Guardian. Contribute your video, pictures and stories, and browse news, reviews and creations submitted by others. Posts will be reviewed prior to publication on GuardianWitness, and the best pieces will feature on the Guardian site.
