The Russian violence against Ukraine continues for the 16th day.
The Mayor of Mariupol, Vadym Boychenko, has described the last two days as “hell.”
He posted a video message on Thursday condemning Russia for its "cynical and destructive war against humanity."
Boychenko said it has been "two days of hell" after the bombing of a maternity hospital on Wednesday in which at least three people died, including one child.
Meanwhile, Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney has said the concerns are very real over Vladimir Putin’s threat of using nuclear weapons.
Minister Coveney said the Irish Government has very clear advice that no one should travel to Ukraine “whether they want to fight or deliver aid.”
He described Russian troops firing at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant as “reckless.”
He said: “The nuclear concerns are real.”
Russian forces are increasing their number of deployed military forces to surround key cities due to "strong Ukrainian resistance.”
