President Volodymyr Zelensky is alive after a car ploughed into his motorcade in Kyiv.

Ukraine's leader is reported to not have been seriously injured during the collision. However, his driver was rushed to hospital by an ambulance.

Mr Zelensky's spokesman Sergei Nikiforov said the president was assessed by doctors after the crash. The medics had been travelling with him. Mr Nikiforov added that the incident took place in the nation's capital Kyiv.

Mr Zelensky's office has distributed the video of the speech the president delivers on a nightly basis. It was sent just minutes after Mr Nikforov's statement was published.
