It’s 4am and you’ve just won a byelection – what do you do? Well, if you’re Ukip, you head to a nightclub normally frequented by students for a good old knees-up.
Nigel Farage’s party booked the Tap ‘n Tin in Chatham as their venue of choice – a three-floor nightclub with drinks starting at £1 on a Monday night.
Naturally, everyone was trying to get in – but like all of the best parties, this one had a strictly-enforced guestlist policy: namely, no journalists allowed.
"I wouldn't let you lot at them for all the tea in China," says UKIP spokesman, stopping journalists enter the #ukip afterparty.

Somehow Good Morning Britain’s Richard Gaisford managed to get through the door, tweeting a few pictures from the night.
Victory perhaps, but there's still a long wait at the bar for Nigel Farage. I'm in Chatham with the #UKIP leader @GMB pic.twitter.com/MbimRCiumC

It's certainly been quite a party for the #UKIP faithful in Kent. Looks more like the aftermath of a wedding. pic.twitter.com/cwaKubNhAf

The other parties may not have been in the mood for, well, partying, given Ukip’s win has put pressure on the Tories and polling day for Labour was overshadowed by Emily Thornberry’s ill-advised white van tweet.
But what might they be listening to as they drown their sorrows – and what was on the Ukip playlist?
