UK WrestleMania is a matter of 'when not if' says WWE's Bianca Belair

Excitement levels for British wrestling fans are already high with WWE's Clash at the Castle today seeing some of the industry's biggest names come to Cardiff for an event that has taken over the city.

But according to superstar Bianca Belair this is just the beginning with more UK live stadium events on the horizon, including potentially the biggest event in the WWE's calendar, WrestleMania, ripe for a trip outside of North America.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror ahead of the event Belair, who will be wrestling in a six woman tag alongside Alexa Bliss and Asuka against Bayley, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai, said: "I definitely think this is going to be the first of many. I went to the stadium yesterday and we were just looking at the setup and it just felt so big even with no-one in there. We were all saying WrestleMania could be here one day and that's not a matter of 'if' it's a matter of when because that's the feeling you get when you're inside the stadium. It feels so festive here, there's just a WrestleMania type of feel. It's really cool."

Belair regularly travels with her husband and fellow wrestler Montez Ford, one of several husband and wife couples in the roster juggling family life and work including Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins and Miz and Maryse.

She said: "The whole environment has completely changed. There's a family environment backstage now, even just on regular Raw. We have people are bringing their kids to work and the kids know each other and we're getting to see them all grow up. It's so inclusive and very family oriented and as a woman, it's really great to see. For so long it felt like we almost had to choose between either being a wife or a mother or a professional wrestler or we had a time limit. And now there's no time limit. Becky was amazing in the ring, she stepped away, she had her baby and now she's right back and better than ever.

"We're not having to choose now. Being family oriented is the norm now. It's not just the men are at work and women are staying home with the babies, Seth brings the baby to work, Gargano brings the baby to work. Everyone is collectively doing it. It's a family environment and it's amazing."

While she's working with some of the most talented wrestlers in the women's division in the show today, Belair has another opponent top of her wish list - Charlotte Flair.

She told us: "I've always said I want to eventually pin all of the Four Horsewomen. I feel like I'm at the forefront of a new generation of women's wrestling with Rhea Ripley, Raquel and Liv Morgan too. I've pinned three of the four and I would love to conquer the big mountain top with Charlotte Flair.

"She was one of the first people that I looked up to when I got into NXT. She had Ric Flair as her father but I think a lot of people forget that she is a homegrown talent as well. I've always seen myself in her and it would mean so much.

"The Four Horsewomen have done amazing things and I'm not saying they have to go anywhere, just make some room for us cause we're coming through as the next generation."
