UK Weather: Where the Met Office forecasts snow today

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice for parts of the UK.

The snowy conditions are expected in Scotland today.

In Bristol, weather forecasters say it will be a showery and cold day.

What to expect across the UK

Snow showers and icy surfaces may lead to some travel disruption during Tuesday morning.

Some roads and railways around the area are likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services expected.

Some icy patches are expected on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.

The snowy weather warnings are only in place for today.

Snow and ice will affect Scotland, in particular the areas of Central, Tayside and Fife, Grampian, Highlands and Eilean Siar, Southwest Scotland, Lothian Borders and Strathclyde.

Following on from today, on Wednesday and Thursday, a yellow weather warning for rain has been issued for south and north Wales.
