UK weather: What the weather has in store for Monday

While we settle into September so too does the rain, at least for Bristol.

Monday looks like it will be a mainly dark and rainy day with sunny skies fading at around midday.

Heavy rain is forecast from around 3pm until 8pm, so an umbrella and a light coat is probably a good idea.

Because despite the autumn rain temperatures are still going to reach a comfortable 18 degrees creating high humidity.

The same weather conditions can be expected across the South West but the same cannot be said for the whole of the UK.

According to the Met Office, many areas of the country will start their week basking in warm weather.

Northern Scotland towards Shetland will be hit with the heaviest rain and some of the rain from the South West might travel up towards the North East later in the day.

However, like the weekend, this week's weather looks set to be a mixed bag.

It will remain unsettled into the week with sporadic showers and sunny spells.
