Brits are set to be lashed by rain this weekend as the wet end of summer weather continues.
Forecasters have warned heavy rain will fall in some areas over the first weekend of October, with heavy rain spreading from the south.
The Met Office said torrential downpours are likely to come in from the lower parts of the country before moving up towards the north.
Heavy rain will drench the nation throughout the coming days before gradually becoming drier after Sunday.
In its forecast, the Met Office said Brits are looking at and 'unsettled Saturday with showers in the north and heavy rain spreading from the south'.

Forecasters added that the country will remain 'very windy along some southern coasts. Windy with sunny spells and heavy showers Sunday and Monday.'
The latest weather follows warnings that people in parts of the UK should prepare for the possibility of snow as forecasters predict it could hit within weeks.
Temperatures are expected to plummet and bring frosty conditions as October arrives.
Snow has already been reported in parts of Scotland, and more could fall in some areas of the UK in the coming weeks, experts say, as things turn chilly - but more wind and rain is on the way first.
Meteorologists suggest a cold front will strike as October begins, bringing a more conventional autumn.

The Met Office has warned that temperatures could plunge by 10C in Yorkshire with snow expected in some areas within the next couple of weeks.
Greg Dewhurst, senior meteorologist at the Met Office, told the Mirror: "We're now entering the time of the year when the change in conditions becomes really noticeable.
"As we enter October it certainly will get colder."
