More flooding and up to one week's rainfall is expected to ravage isolated communities already devastated by the weather .
Around 25mm of rain will lash across Derbyshire on Thursday, one of several areas subject to a new yellow weather warning.
Met Office believe this may be upgraded to an amber one, used for more dangerous conditions.
"We are keeping an eye on this. It is a yellow weather warning at the moment but as this is a sensitive area at the moment, it may become an amber one," Simon Partridge, forecaster at Met Office, exclusively told Mirror Online.
"The warning covers most of Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. These are sensitive areas."
A businesswoman died after she was swept away by floodwater in Derbyshire this week.
Annie Hall, 69, was found two miles downstream in Darley Dale after getting into difficulty.
The new weather warning in that region concerns the whole of Thursday.
Mr Partridge added: "There is a chance of flooding. There is significant rainfall expected.
"Derbyshire has already had 70mm of rainfall this month.
"It typically sees 90mm of rainfall in November."
The further 25mm of rain would mean Derbyshire exceeds its average monthly rainfall midway through November.
Neighbouring South Yorkshire - in which Fishlake remains submerged - has had more than 50mm this month.
It rarely exceeds 89mm of rainfall in November.
Even before Thursday, hale and thunder will work its way across South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire.
Mr Partridge said: "It is a cold and wet week. They'll be blustery showers across most of the country tomorrow, with hale and thunder in some northern spots.
"It'll feel colder in exposed areas too."
Temperatures will also plunge into single figures in these areas this week.
Inland Scotland won't exceed 6C all week, the forecaster warned.
"It's going to be windy all week.
"They'll be coastal gales, especially in the north and northwest," The Met Office forecaster said.
Boris Johnson said today he was "in awe" of the resilience of flood-hit communities.
But authorities in South Yorkshire said it will not be providing "on the ground support" in Fishlake.
Damian Allen, chief executive of Doncaster Council, said: "We are concerned over reports that some residents remain in the Fishlake area.
"South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue crews are on hand to evacuate any Fishlake residents who may be stuck in their homes, and we would urge everybody to take advantage of this.
"The council are unable to offer on-the-ground support to residents who are in severe flood warning areas, based on advice from the Environment Agency."
