UK weather: this is how hot it's going to get next week

Britain is set to bake in another heatwave next week with forecasters warning temperatures could climb higher than 30C.

After a brief respite from the scorching spell that gripped the country last month, another phase of hot weather is heading for us.

Most schools broke up today (Friday, July 19) which means millions of holidaymakers will be heading to the country's coastlines for a staycation.

And looks like they could enjoy some of the best weather of the year so far.

In Bristol, the mercury is expected to climb to a sweltering 29C on Tuesday, while Londoners face highs of 31C.

Wednesday will be cloudier in Bristol with temperatures reaching 25C.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Dry with warm sunny spells on Sunday. Dry with sunny spells on Monday, with a risk of thunderstorms later on Tuesday.

"Becoming increasingly very warm and humid."
