UK weather: The Met Office's day-by-day forecast for the week ahead

The Met Office is predicting a mix of clouds, sun and rain over the coming week.

Starting with the Bristol forecast, we can expect mostly cloudy weather in the city each day from Monday (October 21) to Saturday.

There are set to be some sunny spells each day except Friday, with Tuesday likely to be the sunniest of those days.

Some rainfall is predicted on the afternoons of Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The Met Office forecasts peak temperatures of 13C on Monday, 14C on Tuesday, 13C on Wednesday, 15C on Thursday and 16C on both Friday and Saturday.

UK forecast

The Met Office's UK forecast for Monday is as follows: "Wet weather fringes Kent and coastal East Anglia for a time.

"Elsewhere mostly dry, sunny spells developing for many. The far north turns cloudier and windier later, with overnight rain."

Giving an outlook for Tuesday to Thursday, it continues: "Unsettled and windy in the northwest with rain clearing to sunshine and showers.

"Morning frost and fog elsewhere with sunny spells developing. A few showers in the southeast from Wednesday."
