Britain is set to experience the long-anticipated summer weather as temperatures rise into the mid-twenties towards the end of the weekend.
After a week of cloud and cool temperatures in the south and east of the country, temperatures will begin to rise from Saturday onwards.
Highs of 25°C are predicted in London on Sunday.
In the North, the warm temperatures of the last week will continue.
On Sunday morning, the Met Office has predicted the early cloud will dissipate, leaving "prolonged warm and sunny spells" for much of the UK for the rest of the day.
However, the west and south could face heavy, thundery showers during the afternoon.
There will also be a rise in pollen levels as the grass season begins.
The rest of the week is predicted to be sunny, but with some heavy and thundery showers in southern and western parts of the UK, which may move north-eastwards over Tuesday.
Temperatures across the UK will feel very warm, except in the far north, the Met Office says.
