Snow and ice is causing treacherous conditions on the road this morning as freezing weather grips western areas of the UK.
Multiple crashes and stuck cars have been reported as a chilly blast covers parts of the country in snow, following a cold night.
Early morning commuters in Devon, Derbyshire and Cornwall, Wales and Scotland faced blustery conditions this morning as they headed in for work.
The Met Office yesterday issued a severe weather warning covering overnight and this morning, as a polar blast swept in from the north west, reports Derbyshire Live.

In Derbyshire, cars were reported to have become stuck on the hill by Buxton Hospital, as Chesterfield and Buxton got a dusting overnight.
A lorry became stuck in snow on the A537 just past the Cat & Fiddle Inn causing a road closure in both directions earlier this morning, Cheshire Police said.
The icy conditions have also reportedly caused multiple crashes on the A30 across Devon and Cornwall, as England's west is chilled by ice and hail.

The Met Office's severe weather warnings for today caution snow and ice is expected for much of the north west, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The forecaster warns roads and railways are likely to be affected, with the chill blast expected to cause icy conditions through to late Tuesday morning.

The forecaster issued warnings overnight across north and west of the UK overnight.
The warnings have extended into the late morning, as commuters taking to the roads and railways contend with sleet and snow.
One warning for icy surfaces covers England's west, parts of north and east Wales, and Northern Ireland's east was extended to 10am today.

Another warning covering Scotland's south east, including Perth and Glasgow, extended to 11am today, as motorists and passengers are urged to anticipate possible travel delays and cancellations due to ice.
Power cuts are also likely, and some vehicles could become stranded in snowy conditions, the Met Office warned.
A yellow warning for Scotland's north east, cautions icy surfaces could affect journeys from Aberdeen and Inverness and up to the country's northernmost tip.
A fourth yellow warning for Scotland's north and west says snow and ice are expected to affect travel, and icy surfaces could prove a risk for cyclists and pedestrians.
The warning was extended until 11am Tuesday, as the forecaster warned of snow also covering the Hebrides.
