UK weather: Met Office says Bristol will be dry and sunny after chilly start

Bristol should be dry and sunny today (Sunday), according to the Met Office forecast.

After a relatively chilly morning, with temperatures around 10 degrees at 8am, it should become milder into the afternoon.

A high of 18 degrees is expected at 4pm, with wind not expected to be very strong all day - the peak gust is tipped to be 12mph at 10pm.

As for the rest of the UK, it should be dry and bright for most, with showers possible in East Anglia and Kent and cloud and rain in the west of Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Bristol is likely to see a dip in fortunes on Monday, however, with forecasters predicting heavy rain for around 12 hours.

The downpour is tipped to begin at 7am, going on until 7pm.
