UK weather: Met Office predicts a dry but cloudy day

It looks like it's going to be a drier day for most people this Friday (December 27).

After a wet and blustery Boxing Day families up and down the country may be able to venture outside today without getting too wet.

In Bristol Met Office forecasters say that most of the rain will have eased during this morning and that it will be a fairly dry and cloudy afternoon.

It's still going to be fairly windy out there so make sure to wrap up warm if you are heading out. Temperature are expected to reach no higher than 13 °C.

The dry weather is also expected to last into the weekend.

As for general UK forecast for today, the Met Office states: Rain affecting much of Scotland and Northern Ireland, heavy on hills.

"Mild and windy here with coastal gales. Most of England and Wales drier than today but mostly cloudy."
