Britain is preparing itself for up to 10cm of snow after the Met Office issued yellow weather warnings for parts of the UK.
Warnings are in place for both rain and snow across the country as adverse weather conditions continue on past the Easter weekend.
Approximately 15-25 mm of rain is likely, with 40-60 mm possible locally in parts of southwest England and south Wales.
As a weather system moves in from the south and comes up against cold air over the UK, rain will turn to heavy snow in places.
“The snow is likely to be affecting southern parts of the warning area in the early hours of Monday before reaching Scotland later in the morning,” the Met Office said.
“Snow is likely to gradually turn to rain across the southern Pennines later on Monday. At present there is still some uncertainty in exact snow amounts, and how quickly snow will turn back to rain again in the south of the warning area.”
The warnings are in place for southern and south-west England and Wales and also spread into Scotland and Northern Ireland
The news comes after an extended period of turbulent weather for the UK.
The "Beast from the East" and the subsequent "Mini-beast from the East" battered the country with large amounts of snow and ice, causing travel chaos across the UK.
