UK weather: Met Office forecast shows temperatures set to rocket next week

It feels like the rain might never stop, but next week is forecast to be sunny with highs of 28C.

Large parts of the UK will be hit with more storms today (June 19) before conditions settle over the weekend.

Storms will develop in central, northern and eastern areas on Friday, however no weather warnings have been issued.

This weekend should be largely dry with the thermometer hovering around the high teens.

Monday and Tuesday will see temperatures continue to rise across the whole country.
