UK weather: Met Office addresses claims this November could be the coldest since 2010

The Met Office has addressed claims that this November could be the coldest in a decade.

Experts at The Weather Outlook have claimed that computer forecast models suggest that this November will be the coldest since 2010.

However, forecasts from the Met Office suggest a different story.

In fact, the weather agency predicts above-average temperatures for November this year, Wales Online reports.

Addressing claims this November could be particularly chilly, a spokesman for the Met Office said: "This is not something we're endorsing or saying.

"Our latest three-month outlook suggests it's actually probably going to be above-average for temperatures over November."

The Met Office is forecasting temperatures of around 9C tomorrow (November 8) for Bristol.

The forecast for Friday says: "After fog and low cloud slowly clears, it will a dry and bright day for most.

"It will be another cool day across the south west. Maximum temperature 12C."

The outlook for Saturday to Monday adds: "After a dry start to Saturday, heavy rain is due later in the morning.

"Sunday will bring showers and sunny spells.

"On Monday, further long spells of rain."
