Liverpool is set to be hit by torrential rain and windy weather this May bank holiday.
The weather is set to be relatively dry over the weekend, but on Monday it is set to turn with constant heavy rain forecast throughout the day.
In recent weeks Merseyside has seen dry and sunny weather, with temperatures in the high teens, but this weekend it will be much cooler and cloudier.
Saturday will see sunny spells and a gentle breeze, but temperature will struggle to get into the low teens, with only a high of 13 predicted.
Sunday is a similar picture with a mixture of sunshine and cloudy skies and only a maximum of 12 degrees forecast.
According to the most recent forecast bank holiday Monday is set to be a washout, with torrential rain predicted for the majority of the day and an increasingly strong wind.
The Met Office forecast for the entire North West said: "After a sunny start on Saturday, patchy cloud and scattered showers will develop, persisting through the afternoon, along with some sunny spells. Winds will be light, and variable in direction.
"Sunday will have variable cloud amounts, with showers in the afternoon that will clear away in the evening.
"Some showers will be heavy and thundery.
"Monday will see sunny spells early then it should turn increasingly cloudy with outbreaks of blustery and heavy rain moving in for the afternoon.
"Tuesday will be blustery and cooler with showers or spells of rain at times."
