Humid sticky weather is here to stay until Saturday according to the Met Office.
The South West will see highs of 24C on Wednesday while northern parts of the UK are hit by heavy rain and thunder.
A 'danger to life' warning has been issued as heavy rain showers and thunderstorms threaten to hit Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England.
The alert is in place for Thursday (July 11) .
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Heavy thundery showers across northern and eastern parts on Thursday, becoming confined to eastern parts Friday.
The UK can expect drier with sunny spells from Saturday, but cool and cloudier near North Sea coasts.
