UK Weather: Hot and humid temperatures expected to continue into Autumn

Summer is set to make a return this week, with temperatues potentially climbing above 25C for some parts of Britain by Thursday.

While the warm weather is expected to continue, it will not remain dry, according to the Met Office.

Early Monday morning, rain is forceast over Wales, the West Midlands, the south west and parts of the south east including London.

Light rain is expected to continue in the West with Eastern areas remaining dry.

The Met Office has predicted it could be “very warm and humid for many” as we move through the week.

By Thursday, the temperature in London is forecast to reach highs of up to 27C, with other areas around 25C.

To become an Indian Summer, tradition states a warm calm spell of weather must be recorded in the months of October and November.

While leaves might turn yellow and golden in mid-September, autumn officially begins on the Autumn equinox around the 22 September.
